History
"Priors" records the fact the village belonged to St. Mary's Priory, Coventry. "Marston" combines the Old English words Merse referring to a lake which formed a fishery in the early history of the village and tun meaning a settlement. The Welsh Road from Priors was a main artery for moving livestock into the Home Counties of London for centuries.
Set in the heart of the picturesque village of Priors Marston, the Hollybush Inn is an unspoilt 16th century inn, which offers a great, relaxed "local pub" atmosphere, with a huge open fire in the bar to warm you on winter evenings and a pretty garden for you to enjoy long lazy lunches or alfresco suppers in the warmer months. Why not pop in for a coffee and cake in our new coffee lounge or even stay the night if you are away from home.
